The competitor is tasked with bowling 8 cricket balls to a spring activated set of stumps. A direct hit by the competitor is 1 point and a miss is zero. The spring activated stumps will signal whether the competitor has hit them successfully. The distance to the stumps is 14 metres. The design intent of this platform is such that the competitor is forced to throw the ball using an over arm action. The balls are collected automatically via a conveyer system and fed back to the competitor's area. The 8 cricket balls are dispensed via swipe card technology.
